Parade Shows
In South Australia, all conformation events, including Parades, are governed by the South Australian Canine Association Inc. (Trading as Dogs SA) in alignment with the overarching national rules of Dogs Australia.
According to the official Dogs SA Rule Book, a Parade is defined explicitly under the local by-laws with the following conditions;
Definition of Eligibility: A Parade is an exhibition of dogs that have not attained the title of Champion. If a dog achieves its championship points prior to the event, it becomes ineligible to compete in this specific event.
No Certificates Awarded: In strict alignment with national policies, no Best of Breed or Challenge Certificates are awarded at a South Australian Parade.
At these shows Trainee Judges officiate and it is considered the training ground for all young dogs and owners.
